Traveling solo and being single at the age of thirty-five has taught me a lot. Mostly about myself, but also about how conditioned we are as humans to believe we need to follow a certain path in life. The Path. Grow up. Go to school. […]
Gelato for Breakfast
Growing up, we are taught that gelato is not something you are supposed to eat for breakfast. It is a dessert. Without ever questioning it, I always just accepted this as truth.
Then one day, at the age of thirty-two, I traveled to Italy. The second I stepped off the bus, a slight breeze sent delicious smells of freshly baked waffle cones up my nose. Shivers ran down my spine. Gelato shops completely surrounded me. Men in suits were even eating cones on the way to work. It was at that moment I realized, I can eat gelato for breakfast if I want to. I am all grown up. I can do anything I want.
And guess what? So can you.

HI. MY NAME IS JILL.
I am a Midwest turned California girl, originally from St. Louis, Missouri. I recently sold all of my stuff, quit a job I loved, and said goodbye to my amazing friends and family, so that I could travel the world. I am drawn to travel not to run away from something, but to move closer to everything.
Through this blog, I want to share some of my experiences and insights with you, and provide you with resources to help you live a life you are actually excited about.
This is my story. I hope it inspires you to create one of your own.
